Another thing....About Buying a New Home In Tooele
Another Thing.... About buying a new home In Tooele.
I left out one very vital bit of info in yesterday's post: Make sure you take your Realtor with you on your initial visit to the builder or model home. Without registering your Realtor with the builder, they more than likely won't allow the agent to participate in the transaction. The Builder certainly won't pay a commission. This can mean a couple of things, both of them potentially unpleasant.
First, because it would mean working for free, your agent probably won't be inclined to represent you. Can't really blame them. How would you feel about being asked to do your job for nothing?
Secondly. if you have already signed a buyer/broker agreement with the agent, you may actually be responsible for paying the commission out of your pocket!
I have a Tooele neighbor that we have been helping out with some home info for the last month or so. I found out this morning that they are looking at building a home with a local Stansbury Park builder. Perhaps they don't want to work with us. But, more likely, I didn't do a very good job of letting them know what they should be doing when buying or even looking at buying a new home in Tooele County.
As in any relationship, communication is the key to success. But, my point through all of this is the same as yesterday, you are entitled to professional representation in any Real Estate transaction. Make sure you allow your Realtor to help you succeed!
So that's another thing.....about buying a new home un Tooele.
