Boy, do I miss Tooele County!
Berna & I are spending the week in Washington D.C. to attend meetings of the National Association of Realtors. I've been a history junkie my whole life and have fond memories of a trip I took here when I was 13 (a really long time ago!). I've been looking forward to showing Berna the sights of this amazing city.
The last 3 days have reminded me of why I'm still living in Tooele County. While this city is rich with history and buzzing with activity, not all of that buzz is very comfortable! Back home the sound of a siren is the exception while here it is the rule, no matter what time of day or night. But, the biggest difference I see is that everyone is in such a hurry! Crossing a street in this town is truly like taking your life in your hands. The people we've met here have been very friendly and helpful for the most part, but I can't wait to get home to Tooele and slow down to a more leisurely pace.
This truly is a great place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live here!
