Tooele County Homes Sold Last Week
Not many Homes sold in Tooele County last week. (11/11/07 thru 11/18/07). Seven to be exact, and 6 of those were in the city of Tooele, 1 in Granstville. Not one home closed in Stansbury Park last week. Just so we don't have everyone from Stansbury Park upset at us, let me point out that of 9 contracts written last week 3 of those were from Stansbury. Three from Grantsville and the remaining three from Tooele(homes sold are transactions that could have begun months previously, contracts written are agreements written w/in the week, to close at a future date). This is a much more balanced showing and more indicative of whats happening in the market currently.
Even though Tooele County logged only 7 home closings and 9 contracts written on houses, Real Estate Agents were busy.
During the same week, 44 new listing were added to the homes for sale inventory in Stansbury, Grantsville, and Tooele. Fifty per- cent of those homes are priced under $180 thousand with 36% being between $160 and $180 thousand. The average home price sold of about $ 213 thousand was still $ 45 thousand less in Tooele County than in Salt Lake County. If you work in the northern part of SLC it might pay you to look in Tooele, particularly in Grantsville and Stansbury Park.
