Can Democrats and Republicans ever get along?
The answer to that is a resounding YES! At least they can in Tooele County. Well, for one night a year at any rate, and tonight's that night.
Tonight is the second annual Tooele County Bi-Partisan Ice Cream Social, at the Benson Grist Mill in Stansbury Park. This was the brainchild of Will Craig, Vice-Chair of the Tooele County Republican Party & Toby Dillon, Chair of the Tooele County Democratic Party.
It has long been apparent that here in Tooele County, the similarities between the parties are more plentiful than are the differences. So, what we've done is put together an event that allows the voters to get up close and personal with Candidates and find out what makes them tick.
There's no debate, there's no vitriol, just fun and conversation. And Ice Cream!
This is what politics should be, people that care about their community, talking to the people they want to represent.
Wish we could sell this in Washington! Hope we see you there at the Tooele County Bi-Partisan Ice Cream Social! Save me some chocolate!
