Hi, I’m Berna Sloan, and my mission is to give real estate clients in Tooele County the best service they’ve ever experienced.

Throughout my 20+ years of serving Tooele County home buyers and sellers, I have built a business based on trust, understanding, and a dedication to turning my clients’ real estate goals into reality.

ON A PERSONAL LEVEL...

Making this connection with clients begins with listening well and asking questions so that I truly understand their wants and needs. I am never too busy to return a call, to answer questions, to explain a process, or to dive in and solve a problem.

And – I’m never too busy to be a friend. If a client or an acquaintance wants tips on anything from child care, to how to bake a perfect loaf of French Bread, to how to conduct a successful fund-raiser, I’m always willing to help.

Whether my clients are first time home buyers, the sellers of a high end property, or anyone in between, I put all my resources to work for them – and I won’t quit until their goals are reached. As their advocate, I’m a skilled and tenacious negotiator.

ON A BROADER LEVEL...

My service begins with being knowledgeable – about the communities I serve, about the rules, regulations, and mechanics of real estate, and about the technologies that save my clients’ time and present their homes for sale to the entire world.

I believe that my ongoing education must be twofold – with one side the formal education gained through earning my Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) and Short Sale & Foreclosure (SFR) designations and the dozens of hours of continuing education classes and seminars that I attend each year.

I especially love learning the latest technologies using them to help my clients. I was among the first in Tooele County to incorporate e-fax and paperless contracts to save my clients’ time, and I love using digital photography to create stunning on-line presentations. A stickler for excellence, I have sold homes based solely on my photographic displays.

The other side of knowledge comes from constantly watching the market trends in the cities I serve, and from hands-on involvement with the people in our community.

There are those who believe I’ve been in every home in Tooele City, Stansbury Park, Grantsville, Erda, Stockton, and Rush Valley, and that might be true. If a home hasn’t been on the market in the past twenty years, it might still be home to someone I’m working with on a church project or a community event.

This intimate knowledge of homes in Tooele County, together with my study of market trends, gives me the ability to price my listings correctly. Should an appraiser dare to come in with an incorrect value for one of my clients, I turn into a warrior armed with current facts and figures.

Maintaining good relations with my fellow agents gives me, and thereby my clients, a decided edge, so I stay heavily involved with our REALTOR® Associations. I am now the Tooele County Association of REALTORS® president for the second time, and I sit on the Board of Directors of the Utah Association of REALTORS®. I’m also the Chair of the UAR Grievance Committee. I've been Tooele County Realtor of the Year three times, am a lifetime member of the Sterling Honor Society, and am consistently in the Elite Top Producer Club.

A past Vice-Chair of the Tooele County Chamber of Commerce, I'm active in the business community and with citizen-centered events such as the annual Easter Egg Hunt, the 4th of July Parade, and local golf tournaments. I derive great joy from being involved and interacting with my clients in events created purely for fun.

An added benefit of my years as an involved resident as well as a REALTOR® is my network of trusted vendors. I can refer my clients to the best loan officers, title companies, inspectors, and others who can assist with everything from mowing a lawn, to staging, to repairing the plumbing, to conducting an estate sale.

Although helping people make their real estate dreams come true is vitally important to me, and I’m proud to be able to contribute my energy and skills to my church and my many community events, my most important life’s work has been that of a wife, a mother, and now a grandma.

My husband and I raised our six children here in Tooele County, and now we are privileged to spend one day a week playing with the 4 of our 7 Grandchildren who live nearby. You could call spending time with the grandkids one of my favorite hobbies, since it's something I love to do. I also enjoy jogging and strength training, traveling, reading, cooking, and baking. In fact, I'm well-known for my French bread, rolls, and tortillas and I often get calls asking for cooking and baking advice.

When you’re ready to buy or sell in Tooele County, call me. I’d love to talk with you, to learn about your real estate goals, and to put my 20+ years of experience to work in helping you achieve them.
