Welcome To Tooele Real Estate Information

Welcome to the Group 1 Tooele Real Estate blog!

I'm excited about this blog for a number of reasons. First of all, it marks one of the first times we've embraced a technology before it starts to become obsolete!  ( Blogging about Homes For Sale, Listings, New Homes And Condos in Tooele County).

Actually, the major reason I'm excited about this blog is that it will give us an opportunity to converse with all of you out there that are interested in Tooele Real Estate and the what's happening in Stansbury Park, Erda, And Grantsville UT.

Don't think you care about the subject? Let's talk about how Real Estate affects all of us.

It's well known that Tooele County has been, and continues to be one of the fastest growing areas in the State. With that growth comes many problems to overcome. Schools, stores, recreation, transportation are all areas that have to be ramped up to accommodate all of this new growth. It will be a challenge. Last nights Transcript Bulletin talked about all of the proposed building that is now and will be going on in the County in the future. It also talked about zoning changes that are occuring in the County around the Miller Sportspark and Deseret Peak complex. They are looking at adding lots of commercial and industrial areas and eliminating potential housing space.

Seems like a no brainer doesn't it? Who would build residential around a racetrack? Well, I'd build a house for me, since I'm a race junkie, but that's not the point. The point is, that that area is currently zoned about half and half agricultural and residential. Cutting down the supply of buildable residential land may or may not raise the value of the remaining residential land in the area. It may also allow some larger companies with some higher paying jobs to move into the area, which could benefit all of us.

So, you can see, Real Estate will affect all of us in one way or another. I will be posting often, with subjects ranging from private property rights to current market conditions. Some I will write, some will be things I read over the course of the day that I think might be of interest.

The one major message I want to pass on today is that there is no such thing as a "National Real Estate" market. All markets are local markets. Just ask the folks in California whose home values have been dropping while ours are appreciating at over 20%! I also look forward to hearing from you with any questions you might have. Again, welcome to our blog! Welcome to Tooele Real Estate Information.
